I made these today for Halloween. It was a lot of fun and really easy!
SCARY MONSTER FINGERS
2 cups crushed graham crackers
2 cups powdered sugar
1 cup peanut butter
1 cup melted butter
1 bag pretzel rods broken in half
sliced almonds (finger nails)
red tube frosting (blood)
Mix the first 4 ingredients together. Form the mixture around the half pretzel rod. Add a sliced almond for a finger nail and red frosting to the other end for blood. Use the handle end of a spoon or fork to make the wrinkles in the knuckles.
(This is the same recipe used to make peanut butter balls. You just form a ball and then roll it in melted chocolate and then let it set)

Here's a little video of DJ kicking the leaves around and Huck acting like a tard jumping and biting the leaves. Enjoy!

So every year we have planted a garden and my favorite things are the pumpkins. The vines growing along the fence are grape vines and this year one little pumpkin decided to grow up on the fence in the grapes. See if you can find it. Then there's a close up too.

FINE I'LL UPDATE MY BLOG!

Ok fine I guess I'll update since my life is soooo exciting. There's really nothing going on right now. We went out to dinner and to a Toby Keith and Montgomery Gentry concert on saturday night with both of DJ's sisters and their husband and boyfriend and that was a lot of fun. (sorry ashley I didn't take my camera so no pics). We don't get to do stuff like that very often.....not because we can't but we just don't.
We are getting excited for fall coming!!! Me because it's my favorite season. I love the fall colors and smells. I love that it starts to get cooler and there's less and less daylight all the time. I love decorating and somehow it never feels like i have enough. I'm excited to pick the pumpkins (my favorite) and other vegetables out of my garden and I'm going to attempt to make grape jelly and maybe juice with the grapes also growing in our yard. Wish me luck its MESSY!!!
Now DJ on the other hand........it means HUNTING SEASON is here!!! The opening day of the duck hunt is in 12 days. Getting ready for this hunt usually means a lot of talking on the phone with his buddies (usually going way over his minutes), getting all his clothes cleaned and ready, re-stringing the weighted lines on his decoys, building a blind on his duck hunting boat, and my all time favorite him walking around the house blowing his duck call! (not that i don't get to hear it enough all year long too)
We are both going on separate vacations in about 2 1/2 weeks. Him of course hunting on the snake river in Idaho and me up to Rexburg with my mom to visit Marissa at school! We just found out that we'll probably be staying in the same town (Idaho Falls) however we most likely will not cross paths. It should be a lot of fun!
Well thats all I have for right now.........

We went out to the "beautiful" Utah lake yesterday with Jason & Jenny on their wave runners. It was a lot of fun! Thanks again for taking us!
Tayler loving the water
Me and DJ headed out on the wave runners!!
Brandon digging in the "sand" (mud)

We went camping over the 24th and had a lot of fun. We went up to our friend Stephen's family's property by Fairview. We didn't do a whole lot other than just hang out but it was sure nice to get away from home and feel like we sort of got a vacation.
Here's DJ showing off his enthusiasm
Here's our friends Stephen and Nicole
Huck trying to stay cool
Ebby saying hi
Of course we suck at taking lots of pictures and we got home and there are a million of our dogs, a few of DJ, and none of me dang it!

We got kinda bored while we were camping so we pulled out our 30ft training rope we use for the dogs and used it as a jump rope. Here's DJ demonstrating his mad skills!

We slept in a tent on our trip and of course the dogs didn't sleep cause there was much more interesting things to watch and bark at outside of the tent all night long!!! So they decided they needed a nap when we got home.

Huck is getting so big he is almost as tall as Ebby. I can't believe how fast he is growing. I miss how little he was when we first got him but i definitely won't miss the chewing and getting into EVERYTHING!!!

Here is the Cars blanket I made for Brandon for his birthday. When he pulled it out of the bag he saw it wasn't a toy and he drop kicked it. It was pretty funny. Hopefully he will like it someday!

A few weeks ago the Provo Daily Herald put out a magazine of the 100 peak performers and they asked DJ to be in it for winning the Utah State Duck Calling Competition. Lets be honest, to most people what he does is kinda weird or funny but it takes a lot of practice and he's really good at what he does. I'm really proud of him for everything he has accomplished and good luck at the World Competition! Here's a copy of the article they wrote about him.
(I just have to throw in there that Donny and Marie Osmond and Robert Redford are also in the magazine...)

I baby sat Brandon Tayler and Bjorn the other day. It was a lot easier than I thought it was going to be, however i did only spend a few hours with them. Im sure if I was with them all the time it wouldn't be so easy We had lots of fun playing outside and with the dogs.
I picked them all a rose and then Huck ate them. (the roses not the kids)
Here's Tayler running around the yard. She loves the dogs the most. She kept going over to the fence and talking to our neighbor and her dog. She's so CUTE!!!
Here's the boys digging in the dirt. When their moms came to pick them up they had lots of dirt under their finger nails. Sorry!

Here's the kids checking out the dogs. They were apprehensive at first but by the end of the day they wanted them outside so they could play with them.

Check Spelling
DJ found this giant moth/butterfly in the garden. It was Ginormous

Swimming at Utah Lake
We took the dogs out for a swim about a week ago. It was Huck's first time to experience that. He just jumped right in and could swim as far and as fast as Ebby
Here's Huck retrieving a bumper. He has such a natural instinct for it and loves retrieving them over and over and over.....(kinda reminds me of Brandon...crash...crash...crash... I love you Brandon!)

Ebby retrieving a bumper
So happy to be out playing in the water

Ebby and Huck both headed out for a retrieve

Good morning!!!

This is what we get to wake up to in our faces in the morning.

I caught DJ cheating on me this morning.

Isnt he just the cutest thing!!! He's my little fart!

We have been working in the yard (me a little DJ ALOT!) This is the garden I not so much landscaped but just planted. My favorite plants are the dark red lilys. They are so pretty.

Ebby has never laid down to eat her food like this, but Huck ALWAYS watches her and if any end up on the floor he vacuums them up. It was really cute!
